The Walker Wolverines waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 72-65 win over Mount Paran Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Moustapha Diop, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 17 rebounds. Diop is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Pederson, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Walker is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Mount Paran Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
Walker will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Atlanta has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 758 points over their last 11 matchups. As for Mount Paran Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
