Wallenpaupack Area's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Scranton 17-0. The Buckhorns have beaten the Knights the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.
Clara Babyak made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Madison Haynes was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.3 runs per game. Kailyn Kielbasa was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Wallenpaupack Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Delaware Valley and West Scranton meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Warriors skirted past the Invaders 5-4.
Holly Olcott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Ashlynn McCardle was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Wallenpaupack Area's record is now 4-0. As for Delaware Valley, their record now sits at 3-0.
Delaware Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wallenpaupack Area has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Delaware Valley, though, as they've been averaging 9.3 hits. Given Wallenpaupack Area's sizable advantage in that area, the Warriors will need to find a way to close that gap.
