It was a good run, but Bowie unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coahoma Bulldogs.

Coahoma's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bree Lewis led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylor Wright, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Bowie's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Coahoma, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Bowie and Coahoma should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Bowie (ranked 276th) will meet Perrin-Whitt (ranked 958th) at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Coahoma (ranked 162nd) will meet Lamesa (ranked 829th) at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
