The Tumwater Thunderbirds will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Port Angeles Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tumwater comes in on 11 and Port Angeles on four.
Tumwater can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They breezed by Ridgefield at home to the tune of 55-13. Given Tumwater's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Ridgefield is ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tumwater found their leader in underclassman Peyton Davis, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Davis really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Franklin Pierce typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Port Angeles proved too difficult a challenge. Port Angeles came out on top against Franklin Pierce by a score of 28-18.
Tumwater has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Port Angeles, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
