The Leander Lions will be playing at home against the Cedar Park Timberwolves at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Leander will be strutting in after a win while Cedar Park will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Leander kept a clean sheet against Lehman. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Lobos. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Leander yet this season.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Yahir Tellez and
Evan Rodriguez, who scored all three of Leander's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
Meanwhile, Cedar Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 4-0 loss at the hands of Glenn. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Cedar Park couldn't push the score so high this time.
Leander's victory bumped their record up to 3-6-4. As for Cedar Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.
