East Central took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Union County Patriots. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant East Central was: they took both sets by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8.

Elizabeth Hudnall paced East Central's offense, picking up six kills. Hudnall got some help from Sadie Creek and her 11 assists.

East Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Milan on the 16th. As for Union County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bloomington South on the 16th.
