Volleyball Recap: East Central Starts Season with Win Against Union County

East Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Union County Patriots. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: East Central took both sets by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8.

Elizabeth Hudnall paced East Central's offense, picking up six kills. Hudnall got some help from Grace Duncan and her 12 assists.

East Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Milan on the 16th. As for Union County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Bloomington South on the 16th.
