Phoenix had won three straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 8-7 to make it four. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Klamath Union Pelicans. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

As for Klamath Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

For Klamath Union's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maruk Morris, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Phoenix is set to challenge their familiar foe Hidden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th. Meanwhile, Klamath Union will face off against rival Mazama at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
