Peddie had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 51-46 W over the Academy of the New Church Lions on Wednesday. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Academy of the New Church still got an impressive performance from Ava Teich, who posted 24 points. Teich continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jayda Mayo was another key player, putting up nine points and six assists.

Peddie's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Academy of the New Church, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Peddie has already played their next game, a 42-38 loss against Kimberton Waldorf on the 31st. As for Academy of the New Church, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 60-47 defeat against Freire Charter on the 31st.
