The Billingsley Bears will venture away from home to  face off against the Jemison Panthers  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Billingsley can't be to happy about their upcoming road  contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home  on Thursday. They fell  10-7 to Isabella.
  Claire Seamon was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Shelby Boice, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Jemison's offense. They came up short against  Maplesville on Thursday, falling  15-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jemison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Abby Pate, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  double.
 Even though they lost, Jemison  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most two  strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
 Billingsley came up short against Jemison in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024, falling  11-7. Can Billingsley avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
