In what's become a running theme this season, the Long Island Lutheran Crusaders gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past East New York Family Academy 92-30 at home. Winning may never get old, but Long Island Lutheran sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Several East New York Family Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amariah Clyne, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Arianna Mercado, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Long Island Lutheran pushed their record up to 16-1 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.5 points. As for East New York Family Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Long Island Lutheran will take on the Jets at TBD on Saturday. As for East New York Family Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Railsplitters at 4:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
