After flying high against the Saydel Eagles last Tuesday, the Perry Bluejays came back down to earth. Perry was beaten by Roland-Story 71-11 on Friday. Perry has not had much luck with Roland-Story recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Taryn Nehring was Perry's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Callie Steva held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Perry's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Roland-Story, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Perry will play host again and welcome South Hamilton, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Hamilton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Perry in Iowa (South Hamilton is ranked 130th, while Perry is ranked 297th). As for Roland-Story, they will head out on the road to take on Greene County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greene County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
