The Stone Ridge Christian Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Big Valley Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stone Ridge Christian is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Stone Ridge Christian put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Elliot Christian, posting a 95-43 victory on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Stone Ridge Christian has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Kassius Salazar, who scored 22 points along with seven steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Parker, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Big Valley Christian pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 112-59 loss at the hands of Venture Academy. Big Valley Christian has struggled against Venture Academy recently, as their match on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Big Valley Christian's loss came about despite a quality game from Cohen Boone, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eiler Boone, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Stone Ridge Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Big Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-3.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Stone Ridge Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 69.1 points per game. It's a different story for Big Valley Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 72.3 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Everything came up roses for Stone Ridge Christian against Big Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 77-44 win.
