It was a good run, but  the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their  seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They were the victim of a  rough 34-9 defeat at the hands of Horizon Honors. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points St. Augustine Catholic has scored all season.
  Kiersten Ball was St. Augustine Catholic's leading scorer, having posted five points.  
 Megan Callahan held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. 
 Horizon Honors' win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Amelia McCrory, who  scored eight points along with 17  rebounds. McCrory is on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as she's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Audriana Anglada, who  scored ten points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals.
 St. Augustine Catholic's defeat  ended a five-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 10-6. As for Horizon Honors, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Augustine Catholic will  square off against Bisbee at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Bisbee is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Horizon Honors won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Phoenix Country Day at 5:30  p.m.  on January 19th. Phoenix Country Day is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
