When it comes to explaining why Biloxi lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zaniya Johnson. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. The match was Johnson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Nakenya Terry was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Hancock's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0. As for Biloxi, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-2.
Hancock will head out on the road to face off against Long Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Long Beach will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Hancock is ranked first). As for Biloxi, they will face off against South Panola at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
