Hamilton has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The University Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. University took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hamilton, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Hamilton got the win against Fairfax by a conclusive 27-7.
Luke Harwell and Gino O'neal were among the main playmakers for Hamilton as the former threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt and the latter picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns. O'neal was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 64 yards.
Meanwhile, University's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 43-6 defeat at the hands of Venice.
Hamilton's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 3-5. University has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Hamilton against University in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 42-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hamilton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
