Geron Johnson's Big Game Leads Bartlett over Germantown
 Starting off the list is Bartlett's  Geron Johnson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Johnson rushed for 359 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  rushing yards.
 Johnson might have his next game, a home matchup with Cordova, circled on his calendar. Johnson rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry the last time he and the Wolves duked it out  back in October of 2023.

Marcelles Davis Delivers Best  Performance of Season
 Houston was led to victory by  Marcelles Davis, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Thursday. Davis rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 48 receiving yards.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Houston and  bumps their season record up to 6-2. Davis and Houston will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against White Station at 7:00  p.m.  on October 24th.

Houston Gets a Boost from Day in  55-0  Victory
 Another Houston player making an appearance on this list is  Chandler Day. He threw for 167 yards and four touchdowns on only six passes, and also rushed for 42 yards. He has become a key player for Houston: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  three  passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
 If history really does repeat itself,  Day might just drop another big game when he faces off against White Station on Friday. Day threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns the last time he and the Spartans duked it out  back in October of 2023.

 Bartlett was led to victory by  Tucker Waltz, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Thursday. Waltz wasn't messing around, picking up  four  sacks and making nine total tackles (5.0 for loss). The  game was his third straight with seven or   more total tackles dating back to last season. He is becoming a predictor of Bartlett's success: when he posts  at  least four  total tackles the team is 3-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
 This year,  Waltz  has averaged 5.7 total tackles per game  and for the season has 7 sacks. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he had two  sacks.
