After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Alden, Griffith Institute was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Iroquois Redhawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Carmin Wikman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wikman was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, Mia Rogers and Grace Ricci did most of the damage at the plate: Rogers went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Ricci got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
