After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Alden, Griffith Institute was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They never let the Iroquois Redhawks get on the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won nine contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Carmin Wikman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Wikman was also big at the plate,  earning one  RBI, one  run,  and two  stolen bases.
 In other batting news,  Mia Rogers and  Grace Ricci did most of the damage at the plate:  Rogers  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI, while  Ricci  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. Ricci has been hot for a while, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last ten times she's  played.  Erin Baker was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  stolen base and two  RBI.
 Griffith Institute  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .556. They are  a perfect 9-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The  win snapped Griffith Institute's losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 12-6 record. As for Iroquois,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-4.
As of now, neither Griffith Institute nor the Redhawks have any future games scheduled.
