Putnam has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Parish Hill Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Putnam suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 58-33 walloping at the hands of St. Bernard. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Putnam in their matchups with St. Bernard: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Parish Hill had to suffer through a rough 82-18 loss at the hands of Windham. While losing is never fun, Parish Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Windham is ranked 23rd).
Putnam dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Parish Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
Putnam beat Parish Hill 30-23 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Putnam since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
