Chancellor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Larell Edwards, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Edwards has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cash Dodson, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Chancellor and bumps their season record up to 9-7. As for Culpeper County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chancellor will take on Eastern View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern View will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Culpeper County, they will head out on the road to square off against Spotsylvania at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Spotsylvania and six for Culpeper County.
