The Bandon/Pacific Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Heppner Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Saturday, Bandon/Pacific got themselves on the board against Rogue River, but Rogue River never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chieftains 67-0 at home. Bandon/Pacific didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.
Heppner never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Grant Union last Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 54-14 victory over the Prospectors. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Heppner just coasted through the last quarter.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heppner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Conner Wilson, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Caden George also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Bandon/Pacific's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Heppner, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
