After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sierra Canyon, JSerra Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Laguna Beach Breakers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

JSerra Catholic never let Laguna Beach on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-14.

The win got JSerra Catholic back to even at 5-5. As for Laguna Beach, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, JSerra Catholic will take on San Juan Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laguna Beach, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Downey at 4:30 p.m.
