New Milford (N.J.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used 14 fourth quarter points to seal the 40-12 victory over
Ridgefield Memorial (Ridgefield, N.J.).
The Knights were up 19-12 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Brendan O'Brien in the first quarter.
New Milford expanded its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. NM's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by
Connor Swanson.
The Knights' standout player in the win was
Dante Tobler. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
New Milford also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-7.
With the win NM extended its winning streak to four games.
In a North Jersey - Liberty game next week New Milford (4-0) takes on Harrison, and Ridgefield Memorial (0-4) will go up against Lyndhurst also in a North Jersey - Liberty game.
