Redfield put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Milbank Bulldogs as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The Pheasants might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 15 runs or more this season.
Redfield got a massive performance out of Kylie Hermann, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Layla Hardie was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
Redfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Redfield's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Milbank, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Redfield will face off against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Pheasants' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Milbank, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sioux Valley at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th.
