Rock Hill is 2-8 against Allen since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Blue Hawks will host the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rock Hill took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on McKinney with a sharp 14-1 victory. The Blue Hawks haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Madilynn Grossman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
In other batting news, Rock Hill let Mackenzie Ayyob and Madelyn Kerrigan run wild. Ayyob went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Kerrigan went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Ayyob has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Josephine Perez-Acosta, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Allen got themselves on the board against Plano East on Thursday, but Plano East never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Panthers. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Panthers on their field since April 17, 2018.
The team relied heavily on Harper Dennis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Ashtyn Kotaska was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Allen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They are a perfect 14-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Rock Hill's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Allen, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Rock Hill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .379. However, it's not like Allen struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
