The Heritage Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They really took it to Heirway Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 86-42 win at home. The victory was nothing new for Heritage as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Heritage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Barron Ofosu-kwarteng led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five assists and two steals. Ofosu-kwarteng has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Hall, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Heritage pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for Heirway Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage will challenge Westfield School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westfield School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Heritage is ranked 22nd). As for Heirway Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on New Faith Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
