The Ellington Knights are taking a road trip to  face off against the CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] Eagles  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Ellington knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Ellington took their  contest  with ease, bagging  a  53-12 win over Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton. The Knights have beaten the Patriots the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Patriots has come to flipping the script.
 Ellington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Mattox Dimovski, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a pair of  scores, and also rushed for 47 yards.  Aaron Ladr was another key passer, throwing for 222 yards and two  TDs on only 14 passes.
 Meanwhile,  CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell  28-22 to Granby Memorial/Canton.
 Ellington's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy], their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
 Everything came up roses for Ellington against CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  48-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
