The Wells Raiders lost against the Disney II Titans back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wells fell to Disney II 36-30. Wells has not had much luck with Disney II recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Wells lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryniaa Williams, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianny Monserratt, who scored eight points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Wells has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season. As for Disney II, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wells will challenge Farragut at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Disney II, they will head out on the road to face off against Intrinsic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
