Liberty made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Easton Area, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Rovers by a score of  23-20 on Friday. The  contest marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
 Liberty lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Antonio Fontanez, who threw for 193 yards and two  touchdowns, and also punched in one  TD on the ground.  Gabe Green helped  Fontanez out on the ground, rushing for 106 yards on only 15 carries.
 Easton Area had a senior duo take command as  Cole Ordway rushed for 70 yards and a pair of  scores and  Chris Martinez rushed for 138 yards.  Sean McPeek got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Liberty and  nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Easton Area, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
