Mission Heights Prep is 1-7-1 against Heritage Academy since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Phantoms will host the Heroes at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
While Mission Heights Prep's win against Imagine Prep Coolidge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Phantoms skirted past the Eagles 17-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Phantoms have posted against the Eagles since April 9, 2018.

Mission Heights Prep got a massive performance out of Hadley Feik, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave Feik a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Lopez, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Mission Heights Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .706. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Heritage Academy entered their tilt with Ridgeline Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Eagles 20-4. The result was nothing new for the Heroes, who have now won 13 games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Tatum Meeker made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sarahi Rico, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-4. Emily Person was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Mission Heights Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Heritage Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mission Heights Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Heritage Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Mission Heights Prep might still be hurting after the 19-2 loss they got from Heritage Academy when the teams last played back in March. Will the Phantoms have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
