Knightdale had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past the Apex Cougars 68-43. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 25 points or more this season.

Knightdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ayomide Adewumi, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Adewumi has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ja'Kiyah Moore, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points and five steals.

Knightdale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.

Apex's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Finley Heath, who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave Heath a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Austin, who had nine points.

Knightdale pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Apex, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knightdale will head out to face off against Sanderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Knightdale is facing Sanderson at the right time seeing as Sanderson is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Apex, they will head out on the road to take on Apex Friendship at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Apex Friendship is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.
