The Williams Valley Vikings entered their tilt with the Tri-Valley Bulldogs with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Williams Valley blew past Tri-Valley 49-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Williams Valley, who have now won four games by 28 points or more so far this season.
Alex Achenbach was his usual excellent self, rushing for 201 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 45 receiving yards. Achenbach hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for ten straight games. Brady Shomper was another key contributor, throwing for 86 yards and three touchdowns on only six passes.
Despite the loss, Tri-Valley still got an impressive performance from Blake Schwartz, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Williams Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points per game. As for Tri-Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Williams Valley will be playing at home against Catasauqua at 7:00 p.m. on November 4th. As for Tri-Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Marian Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Marian Catholic is ranked 347th, while Tri-Valley is ranked 330th).
