The Southeastern Mustangs will be playing at home against the Pennington Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Southeastern didn't have too much trouble with Pleasant Valley at home as they won 27-13. The win was just what Southeastern needed coming off of a 49-0 loss in their prior contest.
Southeastern can attribute much of their success to Cole Williams, who rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Mcmillian, who threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Pennington entered their tilt with Susan Moore with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Pennington blew past Susan Moore 28-7. The result was nothing new for Pennington, who have now won six games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Southeastern's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Pennington, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Southeastern was dealt a bruising 41-14 defeat at the hands of Pennington in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Southeastern have more luck at home instead of on the road?
