Basketball Recap: Bolivar Central's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bolivar Central extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Kealan Polk. The Bolivar Central Tigers blew past the Liberty Tech Magnet Crusaders 72-41 on Tuesday thanks in part to Polk, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 21 points. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Bolivar Central's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Liberty Tech Magnet, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bolivar Central Tigers take on the Jackson Central Merry Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bolivar Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Jackson Central Merry likes a good challenge. As for Liberty Tech Magnet, they will head out to challenge Jackson North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
