Ider took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Sylvania, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Rams 8-7 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Hornets, who have now won six games in a row.

Phillip Crowe and Taylor Kidwell did most of the damage at the plate: Crowe earned two runs and four stolen bases, while Kidwell went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Kidwell is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Ider's record now sits at 6-1. As for Sylvania, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Ider is taking a road trip to face off against Asbury at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sylvania, they will host Pisgah at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
