Keystone Oaks had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the East Allegheny Wild Cats a 16-0 shutout. The Golden Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9, 2024.
Max Boehm made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Boehm was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI.
In other batting news, Keystone Oaks got a massive performance out of Brandon Kaminski, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Shane Falcone, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keystone Oaks will venture away from home to square off against Brentwood at 3:45 p.m. on March 18th. As for East Allegheny, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge Riverview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
