Centennial came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Legacy Longhorns, sneaking past 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Tuesday.
Dominic Tiberi tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Chase Hurley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ridge Orton, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
