Draughn scored a full 46.9% of Cardinal Newman's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zara Thompson, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Cardinal Newman's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Porter-Gaud, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Newman will take on Richland Northeast at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Porter-Gaud, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Baptist Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
