The Dighton Hornets put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 44-32 win over Quinter. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dighton also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Leading Dighton to victory were Daniel Cramer and Carson Shimer. Cramer scored 14 points along with three steals, while Shimer scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Shimer has scored at least a third of Dighton's points.
Dighton's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Quinter, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Dighton's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Otis-Bison at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Otis-Bison is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. Quinter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Golden Plains at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Golden Plains will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Quinter is ranked 63rd).
