The Nettleton Raiders put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lakeside 76-50. Given Nettleton's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while Lakeside is ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lakeside's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Amelia Rogers, who scored 14 points. Rogers scored a full 28% of Lakeside's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Mckenzie Williams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Nettleton has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 5-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nettleton has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Gosnell at 4:00 p.m. on December 5th. Lakeside will take on Morrilton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morrilton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
