The Upperman Bees will stay at home for another week and welcome the Stone Memorial Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard on Friday.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Upperman had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by East Ridge at home to the tune of 56-14. Upperman might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Upperman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaxson Rollins out in front who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Bronzden Chaffin, who threw for 63 yards and two touchdowns.
Stone Memorial can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 34-14 margin over Hixson.
Upperman pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.4 points per game. As for Stone Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Everything came up roses for Upperman against Stone Memorial when the teams last played back in October as the team secured a 48-6 win. Will Upperman repeat their success, or does Stone Memorial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
