Video: MLB Draft Pick Nolan Gorman National Player of the Year leads the 60-member All-American squad.
The 2018 MaxPreps National High School Baseball Player of the Year hails from Arizona. The state with the most members from the MaxPreps High School Baseball All-American Team is across the country.
Nolan Gorman of O'Connor (Phoenix) is the top player on this year's group of 60 honorees. He beat out the likes of J.T. Ginn of Brandon (Miss.), Cole Winn of Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.), Jeremiah Jackson of St. Luke's Episcopal (Mobile, Ala.), Mason Englert of Forney (Texas) and Grayson Rodriguez of Central Heights (Nacogdoches, Texas) for the honor.
The most MaxPreps All-Americans, however, are from Florida where five players made the 30-member first team and three more joined the 30-member second team.
Other states with more than two selections include California with seven, Texas with six, Georgia with five and Alabama with three. The All-Americans are listed with any all-area, All-State or all-region honors along with their season stats.
