Even though the Norwalk Bears have not done well against the Wilton Warriors recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Norwalk came out on top in a nail-biter against Wilton and snuck past 55-53. That's two games straight that Norwalk has won by exactly two points.
Wilton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryan Luchetta, who scored 17 points. The contest was Luchetta's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Roy, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Norwalk has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Wilton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwalk will take on New Canaan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (New Canaan is ranked 69th, while Norwalk is ranked 68th). As for Wilton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Darien at 7:00 p.m. Darien is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
