 Barry Western can attribute much of their success to   Alysa Bareis, who  had seven  digs and two  aces, and   Allison Woods, who  had four  digs and two  aces. Woods has been hot, having  posted two or more  aces the last five times she's  played.
Meanwhile, Astoria/VIT didn't have quite enough to beat Rushville-Industry on Thursday and fell  2-1. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Astoria/VIT sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25,  25-17.
 Astoria/VIT's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Barry Western, their victory bumped their record up to 21-10.
 Barry Western was able to grind out a solid  win over Astoria/VIT in their previous matchup  back in September of 2019, winning  2-0. Will the Wildcats repeat their success,  or do  the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
