The GV Christian Guardians''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 26-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of White Pine. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but GV Christian was outscored by White Pine in the second.
GV Christian's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cade Johnson, who threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
GV Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for White Pine, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.
GV Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. White Pine will head out on the road to face off against Lake Mead Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. One thing working in Lake Mead Academy's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
