The Pocahontas County Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-39 victory over Webster County. That 58-39 margin sets a new team best for Pocahontas County this season.
Pocahontas County found their leader in underclassman Calli Propst, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Propst scored 15 or more points. Olivia Vandevender was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The win got Pocahontas County back to even at 2-2. As for Webster County, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Pocahontas County will play host again and welcome Petersburg, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Webster County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gilmer County at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
