S & S Consolidated has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Paradise Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully S & S Consolidated focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 89-44, which was the final score in S & S Consolidated's tilt against Sanger. While losing is never fun, S & S Consolidated can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1207th, while Sanger is ranked 281st).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Hunter Courville, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ricardo Marquez, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Paradise was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 59-54 to Aubrey. Paradise has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
S & S Consolidated has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Paradise, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
S & S Consolidated took a serious blow against Paradise in their previous matchup back in January, falling 90-46. Can S & S Consolidated avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
