Libby is 1-9 against the Pirates since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Libby Loggers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Polson Pirates at 5:30 p.m. Libby has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
After soaring to 55 points the game before, Libby were a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were outmatched by Columbia Falls at home and fell 69-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Libby has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Polson suffered a rough 61-41 loss at the hands of the Vikings & Valkyries on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Polson in their matchups with the Vikings & Valkyries: they've now lost three in a row.
Cason Graham put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 12 points along with three steals. Brock Henriksen was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
Libby's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Polson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
