On Saturday, Evansville Mater Dei was the victim of a rough 69-45 loss at the hands of Owensboro Catholic. Evansville Mater Dei was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-23.
Leading Owensboro Catholic to victory were Karmin Riley and Hailee Johnson. Riley scored 15 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds, while Johnson scored 17 points along with 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Randolph, who scored 12 points.
Evansville Mater Dei's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Owensboro Catholic, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evansville Mater Dei will face off against Mt. Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Mt.
