PETALUMA, Calif. - the Gauchos scored 27 points in the second quarter to secure a big 45-14 victory over Ukiah (Calif.) on Saturday.
Casa Grande scored on a
JaJuan Lawson touchdown pass to
Andre Kupelian, a Lawson touchdown run, a touchdown pass by Lawson to
John Porchivina and a Lawson touchdown pass to Kupelian in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Lawson to Kupelian in the second quarter, CG led 34-7 at the half.
The Petaluma school expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. The Gauchos' lone score in the quarter came on a kick return touchdown by Porchivina.
With the win Casa Grande extended its winning streak to eight games. Casa Grande defeated Rancho Cotate 42-13 last week.
CG came into the game allowing 11.7 points per game.
Casa Grande (8-0) goes up against Windsor in a North Bay game matchup next week, while Ukiah (2-6) locks horns with Santa Rosa also in a North Bay game.
